Introducing our new search strategy director - want to know the sauce?

Today, we officially expand the senior leadership team here at Rise at Seven with Search Strategy Director hire, Ryan Darani, to lead multi platform search globally.

Ryan has 10 years experience in search and content marketing, formerly at Zazzle Media, and then Stickyeyes which was bought by IPG group. He also joins Laura Smales, senior account director, Danny Porter, and Dagmar Kupelian former Stickyeyes client services who all have joined Rise at Seven also.

For the last few years, Ryan spent time as a consultant working with global brands across multiple industries including Lloyds, NFL, Aldi, AO, Superdry, Lastminute, and Ann Summers. He has extensive experience in health, ecommerce, sports and travel and specialises in innovative search solutions, content marketing at scale, AI and multi channel search.

Brands need strategic direction that's realistic to how people now search. Following the announcement of our content creation team, Social/TikTok SEO services, and demand gen and discovery offering - our strategy arm has scaled selling strategy work 3X bigger than we've ever done.

We have now appointed Ryan to join that team, work closely on multi channel search and scale our content marketing.

He has worked with Rise for the last 6 months on some strategic client work for the US and has now joined to help lead the agency through its next phase of growth.

In his role here, he will be leading everything innovation, AI, content marketing and search strategy at Rise at Seven following a trio of client wins. Enterprise brands unfortunately we cannot name.

Following recent Google and consumer search behaviour changes and TikTok positioning themselves as a search engine, we are the leading agency globally to help navigate brands through changing search landscapes.

He will play a big role in helping scale our US arm, taking a lead on enterprise accounts. We expanded to New York last year and achieved $1.5m revenue in year 1 organically. Its one of our biggest growth areas for the agency as Will Hobson moves to the states to help grow organic demand team

Darani will be reporting into Chief Commercial Officer, Karl Loudon, who was recently appointed and hired to drive global growth for the agency from Reprise IPG.

In a brand reposition to both drive and capture demand, Darani will be working alongside other senior leaders including Phoebe Russell, Brand Director, who formerly headed up global brand at The Hut Group, Look Fantastic.

Search strategy will direct both demand generation and discovery at Rise at Seven, and be responsible for leading innovative strategies for clients globally. Darani will be supporting strategic growth within the business, working with Rise on product innovation, positioning, and using AI in next level search marketing.

Ryan said: “We’re truly mastering and innovating what ‘search’ means at Rise at Seven. And that’s exciting. I couldn't be more aligned to an agency which is so forward thinking and applying pressure to the industry to innovate. I am proud to join Karl and Carrie on this journey.

I have worked with the Rise at Seven team as a consultant for 6 months, and fell in love with the brand and clients. I truly believe this is the agency of the future within both search and advertising spaces.”

Karl Loudon, Chief Commercial Officer, at Rise at Seven adds:

“Now more than ever it’s critical that agency partners provide their clients with a commercially focused strategic direction, and have the agility to adapt as rapidly as consumer behaviour is changing. Ryan is one of the best in the industry, with knowledge of multi platform search strategies, consumer behaviour like no other. I am thrilled to have him on the journey with us”.
