HOW WE INCREASED MONTHLY TRAFFIC BY 152%
BY USING REACTIVE PR AND DIGITAL PR CAMPAIGNS REFERRING DOMAINS
The challenge
Dojo wanted to improve organic performance in the card machine space, specifically targeting card machine and small business key terms. As a relatively new brand their secondary challenge was to increase authority and build a strong backlink profile.
What we did
Using our search first strategic process we identified priority areas of the site which would benefit from an aggressive link building strategy and improved onsite content.
We developed a PR strategy which involved focusing on gaining links on new domains. By combining Digital PR campaigns and reactive PR to build links at multiple levels from category pages to existing content and new landing pages. The strategy focusing on landing highly relevant links on national and tech publications.
Alongside digital PR we also developed a content strategy focused on increasing internal linking opportunities.
The results
Through search first activity we increased overall visibility for Dojo by 124% over a 12 month period. We increased the number of keywords ranking in top ten positions for the card machine path by 325% results which correlated closely with an 88% increase in referring domains. Our efforts also increased non-brand traffic by 60% over a period of 6 months.
Our digital PR activity landed links on a range of high authority publications including The Times, LADBible, The Sun, Express, the Mirror, Toms Guide, Manchester Evening News and Komando. During the 12 month period we also landed press across print, radio and TV including This Morning, Times Radio, Daily Mail, LBC Radio and The Times.
