Rise at Seven has today announced Phil Clark as their Group Managing Partner, working alongside Karl Loudon, Global MD, and Carrie Rose, Founder & CEO.
Clark has been brought in to lead all things performance and craft in the agency, situated out of their London office and sitting on the board.
Phil was former Senior Global Director of Digital Marketing & Media at Canada Goose, and before that Business Director at Reprise, now known as Kinesso.
He previously worked with Karl Loudon, the group MD of Rise at Seven, in their previous role at Reprise where Loudon sat as Managing Partner of their Entreprise division. The duo have joined forces yet again to take the agency to its next level which was first founded just 5 years ago and already serving brands including Sixt, Ninja, Bumble, Capital One, & more.
There’s no slowing down for the agency, as they make their way to £10m revenue mark, successfully expanding overseas to New York City and now launched into paid media with clients including InSinkerator, Beauty Pie, Tandem Bank, Pooky & more.
In his role, Clark will manage end-to-end delivery and performance of their overall PESO (Paid, Earned, Shared, Owned) proposition under Rise at Seven Group. This is a senior leadership position on the board of the agency to lead all craft teams and client performance across organic and paid channels. This includes Social (paid & organic), SEO & Content Marketing, PR, Data, Creative/Brand, and Strategy teams.
Clark’s impressive background spans across both agency and in-house experience, starting off in the music industry, then joining Reprise where he became Client Services Director and then Business Director. During his time there, Clark led organic SEO and performance accounts including TGI Fridays, Disney Store, Harman Kardon / JBL, Canada Goose, Destination Canada, and more. Canada Goose then headhunted Clark to lead global digital marketing and media direction in-house where he spent 3.5 years.
In his role at Canada Goose, Clark played a central role in leading global digital marketing and paid media strategies, delivering omnichannel growth via integrated marketing. He saw the powerful role in brand & performance collectively and joined Rise at Seven to help Carrie and Karl bring their vision to life leading the industry in search and social, better connecting brand and performance - and therefore building famous brands that are more discoverable than their competitors.
On his appointment, Phil Clark, Managing Partner at Rise at Seven said, “The industry has reached a critical point in the need for content marketing that resonates across the digital landscape. Paid, owned, and earned media will not connect with audiences in isolation. Rise are experts in delivering customer centricity, grounded in search, and executed via best in class multi-channel content strategies. I'm incredibly excited to bring my integrated marketing experience to the team and help deliver unrivalled growth to our clients.”
Carrie Rose, Founder & CEO at Rise at Seven adds, “Rise at Seven is fast on its way to leading the category for search and social, driving demand and discovery for industry leading brands so when I had the opportunity to hire one of the industry's most talented digital marketers, Phil Clark, to help bring my vision to life and I took it.
Not only has he had experience working with Karl Loudon, our MD, and Laura Smales, our Client Services director also from Reprise, but our connected view of the marketing world excites me for what's to come.
As I prioritise growth in the U.S. market, new product launches and mergers and acquisitions - I am proud to have appointed Phil as Managing Partner to lead all craft directors across the media mix. Clark embodies our values, shares the same enthusiasm I do for the work we are doing, and a love for the craft coming out of this business.”
