We are extremely excited to announce that Sally Rushton, former strategy and planning director of Jaywing, has been appointed as Executive Creative Director at Rise at Seven.

Sally is an award-winning brand strategist with over 15 years of experience in creative, PR and social previously working as Director of Strategy and Planning, and Director of Engagement across the Jaywing family. Sally has worked on high profile brands including Oxfam, First Direct and HSBC.

Sally joins Rise at Seven as Executive Creative Director and is tasked with growing the creative service into a global powerhouse. Sally is supporting the business to rapidly take Rise at Seven into the creative content marketing space worldwide, growing the social and creative offering of the agency with search at the forefront.

Sally joins as the agency hits 60 staff, with a client roster of PrettyLittleThing, Lifestyle Sports, Made.com, House of Fraser, GAME, Playstation, USwitch, Money.co.uk, and more.

Sally adds: "We may have been in lockdown for the last 12 months but you’d have to be living under a rock to have not heard about Rise at Seven during that time.

"They are disrupting the industry and setting new standards for others to follow. So many agencies are retrofitting new services into old fashioned models but Rise at Seven has been set up from scratch, attracting major brands and impressive talent to produce a new breed of search-first content. Not designing a campaign for a siloed channel plan or having disparate teams working to multiple objectives… but a joined-up way of thinking, producing fresh digital content audiences want to engage with that supports brand and digital KPIs.

"But more than that, the confidence of the whole team, the ambition and enthusiasm is infectious.

"I’m really excited to have joined this week, bringing my experience in creative strategy, content and social media to help strengthen the agency’s offer in market.

"I’m ready to help the business define the next chapter and continue the journey Carrie, Stephen and the wider team have begun for 2021."

The agency, founded by Carrie Rose and Stephen Kenwright, launched only 19 months ago and has grown to over 60 members of staff across 3 countries. With clients across the UK, Europe and North America, Rise at Seven are looking to expand physical offices overseas to in the next step of its rapid expansion. The agency has no signs of slowing down.

Carrie Rose, CEO of Rise at Seven, says:

"When hiring an ECD, we needed an experienced brand strategist who can combine creative and digital to deliver bigger and better results than any other agency in the world - Sally ticked that box. We spoke to numerous creative directors who's big ad agency experience meant they were limited and old fashioned in the way they thought and executed.

"We are seeing a drastic change in both creative and digital industries and skills in social, brand, creative and PR combined with digital and search is the future of creative directors in my opinion. Now more than ever creatives are needing to prove the value of their work.

"Rise at Seven is at a point of fast growth, with new services launching and global expansion. Sally joining Rise at Seven brings experience at the highest level in creative and will not only help push our creative offering to the next level but our business as a whole. Sally has worked on some of my own dream brands and brings the expertise of strategically leading on a number of high profile accounts which will really push us to where we want to be. I am so thrilled to have her with us. We may be young, the new kids on the block, but we have years of experience and are the experts in our field."
