Rise at Seven is delighted to announce the appointment of James Clark as our new Head of Organic Growth & Content Marketing. Formerly the Head of Editorial Content at bet365, James has joined Rise to lead the growth of our sports, betting, organic and content proposition.

James spent 10 years at ITV News & Sport in a variety of senior positions, including presenting, reporting and producing across television and digital platforms. He then moved to the gambling company bet365 in 2022 and relocated to Gibraltar, working alongside the C-Level board to head up editorial content and SEO. James worked globally across 16 markets and led a team of 20 content professionals across four offices. He was responsible for launching bet365’s new Sports & Betting News sites, driving exponential organic growth, through tailored content strategies and operations.

A member of the Senior Management Team at Rise, James will be responsible for managing all global content marketing and growing our sports function across the UK, US and Europe. He will drive multi-channel, multi-funnel and multi-platform organic growth initiatives for Rise at Seven's clients, ensuring seamless alignment between strategy, data, and quality story telling.

Speaking about his appointment, James said:

“Search is constantly transforming and evolving, so to join such an innovative and renowned agency in this field is a real honour and privilege. With the continual growth of how and where consumers are searching, having an organic content marketing strategy that is tailored to your brand and customers is extremely important for all businesses. I'm extremely excited to bring my global content experience to Rise and unlock exponential organic growth for our clients.”

Rise at Seven, founded in 2019 by CEO Carrie Rose, reported 30% YoY growth in the UK and 80% in the US, nearly doubling group profits.

Their innovative work spans clients like Tropic Skincare, TripAdvisor owned Viator, Ninja, Tandem Bank, Shark, Capital One, Dermalogica, and more. The addition of James Clark marks another strategic move for Rise at Seven as the agency continues to expand its leadership team to meet the rising demand for organic growth and content expertise.

CEO, Carrie Rose, commented:

“We have plans to treble our content output for clients in the next two years and to do that, we needed a leader who could create multi-format content which pushes users down the funnel. At Rise, we help brands be more discoverable when exploring and evaluating online and James’ level of expertise and creativity means he is the perfect person to take charge of this for us. Our sports arm of Rise at Seven is also a key area of growth for the business. I started my career creating content marketing strategies for Ladbrokes for 5 years, and went on to apply my learnings from within highly regulated industries to fast moving brands in travel, fashion, beauty, finance and more. I believe if you can market a sports betting brand, you can market anything"

Clark’s appointment marks another step in Rise at Seven’s ambitious growth plans, following Phil Clark’s recent addition as Managing Partner of Craft.

With James at the helm of organic growth and content marketing, Rise at Seven is poised to deliver even greater success for its clients while solidifying its position as a global leader in search first creative marketing.
