Due to recent new client wins and fast growth, we’re looking for an experienced SEO director to lead our US SEO team focusing on growth and retention of clients. Rise at Seven is a Global Search Agency named Best Large SEO and content marketing agency globally and rapidly expanding in the states. With a handful of clients and a small US team and growing, this role requires entrepreneurial spirit and the want to build something with a leading agency and be a part of that journey.

We are looking for a highly intelligent, charismatic and creative thinking individual who is passionate about combining creative and search as much as we are. The role will work alongside the VP, PR on off-page and compliment it through best in class on-page seo strategies. Your day to day role will consist of managing key accounts, performing seo strategy work, pitches, proposals and proving business and commercial value of work. 

This is a senior-level position suited for a well-rounded SEO, experienced in technical and on-page SEO. The successful candidate will be a fantastic people-person who can distil complex SEO issues into meaningful, business orientated actions for their clients. The overall purpose of this role is business and commercial growth and therefore is an exciting role for an ambitious seo who wants to build something from the ground up. You must be excited about growing an ambitious team of SEO professionals consisting of technical seo and onsite content and be responsible for implementing a best in class SEO strategy for key clients. 

You will be responsible for the effective implementation of client Account Development Plans (ADPs) in order to achieve client’s annual business objectives and targets.

  • Build a solid team of seo and content experts pioneering the industry bringing search and creativity together
  • Make our Technical SEO pitch so good and unique that we win pitches against competitors
  • Grow departmental revenue and fame based on the work we do including new bus and upsell
  • See industry leading seo strategies through to implementation
  • Be especially responsible for your own clients getting award-winning results from the entire Rise at Seven team (including PR, Content etc.)
  • Be the US leader for our Search First proposition


  • Act as a senior leader in the US reporting to the leadership team of the group on client performance and seo function growth.
  • You will be responsible for the management and delivery of SEO strategy for our clients in order to achieve client business objectives and targets
  • Hire, train and retain best in class SEO managers, onsite content strategists
  • Department Revenue growth for US SEO including client retention through delivery of excellence
  • You will be responsible for the effective implementation of client Account Development Plans (ADPs) in order to achieve client’s annual business objectives and targets
  • Spot opportunities for growth with clients
  • Pioneer direction of department across the team
  • Ensure client accounts are following SEO best practice, ensuring that hygiene factors are monitored and managed accordingly
  • Play an active role in defining SEO best practice and scalable processes
  • Stay up to date with new market tools and opportunities, which would support client strategy or Rise at Seven’s product offering, and share to the wider team
  • Surprise and delight clients through innovation, knowledge share & insight; highlighting successes on a weekly basis (monthly for smaller clients)
  • Provide seo reporting and measurement of the effectiveness of campaigns
  • Advocate knowledge share, drive delivery of cross channel processes and sharing of tools. Lead by example and drive the team to share knowledge cross team and cross channel
  • Innovate new technologies and ways of working, monitor market trends in order to support internal growth and efficiency strategies. Support and contribute to the development of the tech roadmap
  • Contributing to and supporting Rise at Seven’s marketing activities including community marketing, whitepapers, blog posts, studies and speaking opportunities
